Lingering Book

This is a book which I have been reading since some time ago. When I first saw it at the bookstore, I thought it was a great idea to buy it. I've always been a huge fan of Poe. So huge that I've stolen a book from the library!
Well, the point is: if you don't know Poe, don't buy it. If you like him, don't buy it.
The plot is well written, but too massive. It took me hours to go through the middle of the book. The story is not well flown, the author takes a long time do describe something simple and futile. Despite the fact that he gets lost in some parts.
I'm doing my best to finish reading this book. Really. I want to start a fresh one before traveling. It's called Mr. X

"Think about this: What if you were looking at the world through the eyes and mind of Rosemary's Baby as that baby grew up into manhood, not knowing his true identity, having to figure it out by himself in a world where his father is absent and his mother doesn't understand him? There you have the title character, MR. X, who talks to us in first person from time to time throughout the book. So we DO get to look through those eyes, and quite a bone-numbing and nerve-shredding experience it is, too. It ain't easy being mean!"

Hopefully this book will be the salvation for this semester. I've got no time to read, no patience and no will. The only book that I've got, it's awful. I'll put all my trust in this book, all because Stephen King is co-authoring it. I don't need to say anything about him. He's the King. By the way, the critics were very good about it and it got The Bram Stoker Award in 1999.
I'll keep you posted about the end of The Poe Shadow and the beginning of Mr. X.
If you really wanna read something nice. Here's the hint:

Edgar Allan Poe, Histórias Extraordinárias.

The book I've stolen from the City Library.
I'll see you later, fellas! If you liked it, leave your comment.
