Saint Patrick's Day

3 comments
Greetings from London, everybody!
Sorry for not posting the few past days. Things have been busy in here. Settling down, going shopping, sightseeing, meeting people and, of course, studying English.

Well, to sum up. Here are some pictures of Saint Patrick's Day in London. We celebrated it on March, 14 instead of 17 (which is the right date). Whatever! It was fucking great! A lot of beer, singing and dancing!

I'm just gonna tellya somethin'. This is unfuckingbelievable!

Going to London!

0 comments

To start this freaking adventure, let’s summarize some facts that happened earlier in the day.
First of all it was fucking hot when I left home. I thought I wouldn’t make it to the airport. São Paulo was jammed with cars and pollution, my father was driving like crazy. I prayed several times in the car to get to the airport alive.
When we got there, it was about 5 o´clock in the afternoon. Our flight would take off at 10:55 at night. We had to wait for all this hours. Dani’s got some problems with her ticket, and she thought she couldn’t travel with us. All she had to do was to wait.
All our families were there with us, although my parents left early. Caio’s and Dani’s parents were there to support us and say goodbye. We checked in and went to the departure gate. From this point on we were on our own. Júlia, Caio and me. The Three Musketeers. We walked through the corridors and got to the free shop. Everything was so fucking expensive. The only cheap things were the drinks. Ahhh, the drinks. I’ve found Absolut Vodka for 19 fucking dollars. Can you believe that? I almost bought some bottles to take to London. But I didn’t know if it was okay to land with them. While we were waiting to get onboard, in the lounge room, Dani came running toward us. She had made it. She was definitely traveling with us.
We got onboard. The guys let me sit at the window to see the plane taking off. I think it might have been the best present I’ve ever received. After some hours of delay, we were finally ready to go. Ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seat belts. You’re going to London.
The flight was terrible. Twelve hours sitting in a restricted area, with a non-loved French woman. She really sucked. I tried to have a conversation with her, but it was not possible. Her English was really awful and she was anti-social. Nevertheless, I did manage sitting next to her.
When the suffering was over, in other words, when we landed, it was awesome. People talking in English, pale faces, not smiling and practically ignoring you. We got to the Immigration Area. That was something I’ll never forget. Each one of us headed to different booths and after some annoying questions, all of us got 6 months visa. Awesome!
On the second day, I got drunk. LOL
That’s another story.

Cheers!

Several ways of saying FUCK!

Monday is fucking gone. Tuesday is fucking coming. Wednesday is fucking there.
Our "farewell party" was fucking great. Every fucking person was there. The only fucking problem was that I drank too fucking much and now my fucking belly is fucking big and tough. I can't even fucking breath. It's a fucking disaster. Moreover, I've got a fucking cold and my throat is fucking itchy!

 If you were not invited to the fucking "farewell party" :

Nevertheless, it was fucking awesome!

Well, tomorrow I'm gonna fucking pack my fucking stuff. I've already made the fucking list. It's fucking boring, man!
If you wanna say "good-fucking-bye", this is the fucking time. Tomorrow I'm not gonna fucking listen to you.

I'd also like to congratu-fucking-late my ex-student Jorge Carvalho. He has passed some fucking good exams in some fucking great federal universities! You are the fucking man, dude! You deserve the fucking best and do not stop fucking studying this fucking fuck language!

LOL

Astalafuckingvista, baby!

PS.: Do me a favor and count how many "fucking" I've written!

Finally in February!

It's been a long ride through January, but it's finally over! I think January was the longest month man has ever invented. It was boring, long, exhausting, with no money and boring again. It all started with New Year's Day which sucked. Everything after that sucked in a row.

Anyway, here comes February. Here comes my birthday, which is on Feb, 20. And then, finally, here comes our trip. I'm very eager to travel and rule UK. I haven't started packing yet, no one has. This day will come and I'll suffer. I hate packing, mate.

I hope Feb goes faster than Jan. Really, man.

500 days of Summer

Simpsons rulez! I was just sitting there, on my bed, watching it before I came to the computer. Try this combination:

 Man! That'll rock your world! But please, don't copy me. I've drunk the whole carton of milk. I haven't eaten the whole bag of cookies because it's too much.
Anyway, Simpsons' good, milk's good, cookies' good!

About the topic now. Earlier this evening, I watched a goddamn good movie (this one on the left). It's about a guy who believes in love at first sight, fate, soul mate and this kinda things. He's pretty cool and works at a company which manufactures holiday cards. There he meets this girl named Summer. She's a very nice chick, beautiful, attractive and all the other stuff. Guess what? He falls for her. However, it's not that easy. She doesn't believe in love at all. Her parents got divorced when she still was a kid and since then she lots her faith in true love.
They start hanging out together and she finally falls in love with him. Some days pass by, actually more than a year, until she decided not to see him again.

If I keep telling, you're gonna kill me. The end is nicely done. Moreover, the message I've got from the movie is very special:

- True love exists;

- Fate doesn't;

- Love at first sight does;

- If you are given a chance to be happy, grab it. Invite him/her to have a cup of coffee and make your path through happiness;

- Sometimes it's hard to get over someone, but you'd better do it, man. Because while you are obsessed with the person, more people are paying attention to you. More importantly, you are not giving a shit about'em.
    Well, pal. It's up to you watch the movie and see if you like it or not. I really enjoyed it and had a good time. It's a totally different film. There's no happy nor sad ending. It's just different. It makes you think, you know?

    And yo, modafuckers, the Comment Box ain't there to make this blog cutter. You'd better use it!
    Peace out.

    Lingering Book

    0 comments
    This is a book which I have been reading since some time ago. When I first saw it at the bookstore, I thought it was a great idea to buy it. I've always been a huge fan of Poe. So huge that I've stolen a book from the library!
    Well, the point is: if you don't know Poe, don't buy it. If you like him, don't buy it.
    The plot is well written, but too massive. It took me hours to go through the middle of the book. The story is not well flown, the author takes a long time do describe something simple and futile. Despite the fact that he gets lost in some parts.
    I'm doing my best to finish reading this book. Really. I want to start a fresh one before traveling. It's called Mr. X

    "Think about this: What if you were looking at the world through the eyes and mind of Rosemary's Baby as that baby grew up into manhood, not knowing his true identity, having to figure it out by himself in a world where his father is absent and his mother doesn't understand him? There you have the title character, MR. X, who talks to us in first person from time to time throughout the book. So we DO get to look through those eyes, and quite a bone-numbing and nerve-shredding experience it is, too. It ain't easy being mean!"

    Hopefully this book will be the salvation for this semester. I've got no time to read, no patience and no will. The only book that I've got, it's awful. I'll put all my trust in this book, all because Stephen King is co-authoring it. I don't need to say anything about him. He's the King. By the way, the critics were very good about it and it got The Bram Stoker Award in 1999.
    I'll keep you posted about the end of The Poe Shadow and the beginning of Mr. X.
    If you really wanna read something nice. Here's the hint:

    Edgar Allan Poe, Histórias Extraordinárias.

    The book I've stolen from the City Library.
    I'll see you later, fellas! If you liked it, leave your comment.

    Jesus Christ, man!

    I've been trying to create a decent blog for hours. Finally I've realized I'm too lame to do that! When you finish reading this stupid post. My eyes are burning, shedding tears and I'm still here.
    As you can notice the topic, this blog will be dedicated to my trip to London. I hope you follow it, because I think it will be interesting.
    I'll see you around and God save the queen!
